Scanning
Steve Milne at Richmond Hill Agribusiness offers accredited Sheep Genetics carcase scanning.
Steve has been an accredited carcase scanner for 17 years and has scanned over 500,000 sheep. He scans for some of Australia's leading seed stock breeders in both the Terminal, Maternal and Merino industries. These include studs across South Australia, Victoria and southern New South Wales.
Steve offers state of the art scanning using a Mindray DP50 Ultrasound scanner and is fully EID compatible. Sheep are weighed and measurements taken via ultrasound of their fat depth and eye muscle depth at the C site. Data can be captured manually and/or via an XR3000 or XR5000. Files can then be emailed or transferred via Bluetooth once scanning is completed.
